Only in Norfolk

Only in Norfolk can you pull into a pub carpark and find two tractors parked there with the drivers inside having a couple of pints!

Daffodils here, Daffodils there, Daffodils everywhere

The North Norfolk Coast is littered with bright yellow Daffodils, alongside roads, in the middle of fields, under trees - EVERYWHERE!
Today is a grey overcast day but outside our window is the biggest bunch of Daffodils, enough to brighten any dull day. I love how the signal the onset of summer like a big bright yellow flag! Roll on SUMMER!!

Mutant egg

I opened the nesting box this morning and found one single egg, and a very large one at that. (I can't even close the egg box its that big!) I'm not sure which hen laid it but the poor thing must be in shock.
(turns out it was a double yolker - and a yummy one!)

Spring has definitely sprung

I couldn't be happier! I spotted this display outside a florists on Charlotte Street in London - what a mood lifter!
Summer is near, it's in the air. The days are warmer now, we can wear lighter coats, there's plenty of sunshine and best of all EVERYTHING is budding or blooming.
This is, without doubt, my favourite time of year.
Norfolk is filling with visitors breathing life back into local businesses after the winter slumber and it's easier to walk the dogs on the beach now.
The geese have all but left us till next year, but everywhere there are signs of things waking up and getting ready for warm weather....and I can't wait!

Our First Egg!

Well, it happened, this afternoon Brad took a peek inside the coop and found this beauty!
I'm adamant it came from Rose, she's bigger than the others, her crowns redder and she's very vocal, chattering away as she follows me around while I clean out, top up and fuss....I'm so proud!
