Poppy Devine

The past few days with our new 'brood' have been a delight and a saga in equal measures, the Ladies are all doing well and growing daily. We should be getting eggs soon.
Last Thursday night Brad phoned on my way home to say our favourite little lady Poppy was seriously ill and wasn't sure what to do. We decided we had to get her to a vet and at least try save her.
We never did find out what was wrong with her, googling the symptoms Brad thought it might be a head trauma and it was suggested that she be fed vitamins E and B and Selenium, we moved her into a make shift coop in the bedroom and so began the bedside vigil, Brad shouldering most of the responsibility as he is, luckily, at home full time at the moment.
We must have done something right, as Poppy made a tentative return to the others and looks to be well on her way to a complete recovery!
Delighted? Just a little! Haha
